Axiom 2: Die Skalarmultiplikation K X E —* E ist stetig. B. Dunford-Schwartz [7]; Bourbaki [1] aber nicht). Statt der Stetigkeit der Subtraktion konnte man ebensogut die Stetigkeit der Addition fordern, denn aus Axiom 2 folgt ja insbesondere die Stetigkeit von E —> E, x t—> —x, und deshalb die von E x E —> E X E, (x,y) H-> (x,-y). Im Axiom 1 Subtraktion statt Addition zu schreiben, hat aber einen, wenn auch nur asthetischen, so doch guten Grund, den ich nennen will. Wie hier die Begriffe Vektorraum und topologischer Raum eine Verbindung eingehen, so gibt es noch mehr interessante und mitzliche Begriffe, die aus der Verbindung algebraischer Strukturen mit der Topologie entstehen.
Notiz: Die Quotiententopologie ist offenbar die feinste Topologie von X /~ , fur die n noch stetig ist. 40 Kapitel 3.
