One of the most useful is annual (or monthly or whatever) statistics showing rates and possibly trends over time. These kinds of data are often well-kept for legal/ 80 administrative reasons.
An exercise the author uses with students is to get them to write down on one side of A4 paper the positive and negative features of their course (8-lO students being involved). These are then photocopied and each student gets a complete set, which they have to content analyse.
