Some deposit a small number of colour particles onto the hair to keep it looking rich and vibrant, while others keep fair hair looking bright with gently lightening ingredients, such as citrus extracts, and also remove colour-dulling impurities and neutralise brassy yellow tones. Most make colour seem stronger by boosting shine and usually have deeply conditioning properties, to repair hair that may have been damaged and dehydrated by chemical processing. For the best results, use both. • Some pump-action sprays can deposit their contents quite heavily onto the hair. Aerosols are often better for creating a light and continuous mist. • Most hairsprays will brush easily out of your hair at the end of the day, avoiding product build-up and letting you start afresh the next day.
