Common Examples of Information Behavior In this chapter we will make the case that searching for information is an important part of being human, and it is something that we do on a regular basis. Out of necessity we will encounter concepts and terminology that will be explained fully in later chapters of this book. Consider this chapter to be a preview of what is to come. Every day of our lives we engage in some activity that might be called information seeking, though we may not think of it that way at the time.
