COLOUR 55 REPEAT One of the most important technical parameters in commercial textile printing is repeat, or the repetition of a pattern along the length and width of the fabric in mathematical precision. Many designers, particularly those working in design studios for fashion, may not consider repeat in a technical way at all, although designs for interior textiles are nearly always created in repeat. However, even if your designs are not going to be completed in repeat it is important that you are aware of the visual impact of repeat on your design and consider the continuity of the image across the edges of the design, as this gives an indication of the repeat.
