Accordingly, KKV seeks to make such tools accessible to qualitative analysts, so as to help them design better research. While the premise is, in effect, the superiority of quantitative methods, the goal is to build bridges. The authors take seriously the idea that we should seek a common language for framing issues that arise in all forms of inquiry, and their effort to articulate the shared concerns of quantitative and qualitative research is a valuable contribution.
