They depend on money and believe that everything would be all right if they just had enough money. They think that everything would be resolved and they would be satisfied if they just had enough money. But the truth is, having heaps of money cannot satisfy the thirst of our souls.
That pleasure is the same as the Samaritan woman being refreshed for a moment by taking a gulp of water and then getting thirsty again. It’s the refreshment of the moment when water goes down the throat, but there is no refreshment of the true living water in their hearts. Even so, people kill their own souls by the pleasures of this world. Obtaining satisfaction through their own strength and efforts will actually in the end kill their souls. God made people’s hearts. Therefore our hearts are a sacred place where we can serve God.
God’s Word of the gospel of the water and the Spirit has become the overflowing spring water inside us that gives the everlasting life and permitted our souls to go to Heaven. There isn’t any kind of water in the world that can water our souls. If we set aside our thoughts since they are evil and of no real benefit, but pay attention to what God says to us, the spring water which makes us never thirst again overflows in our heart to give us the everlasting life.
